Meet Our Team!

Allen Hance

Assistant Provost for Global and Community Engagement

Allen Hance has recently joined our team as the Associate Provost for Global and Community Engagement. Having been the Assistant Dean of the College for Community Engaged Curriculum at Brown University, where he developed strategic partnerships and academic pathways for community engagement scholarship and experiential learning, and the Director of Academic Engagement at Brown’s Swearer Center for Public Service, designing and implementing community-engaged scholarship programs for undergraduates, building grant programs to help instructors integrate community engagement into their courses, and leading faculty learning communities on high-impact teaching and learning practices, Hance is a monumental asset to our team here at the CPC. Hance has a Ph.D. and M.A. in Philosophy from Boston College, an M.S. in Environmental Policy from the University of Michigan, and a B.A. in Philosophy from Dartmouth College.

K.C. Ferrara

Mia Brum

CPC Project Coordinator

Mia Brum was born and raised in Bristol, RI. She is a graduate of Rhode Island College with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work. Her work background spans from working with families and the elderly population in the social work field to recruitment and training of college students in financial services. Her enjoyment of working with the college-age student population is what led her to pursue a career at RWU. Mia has been with Roger Williams University as administrative support for both the CPC and Feinstein Center for Service Learning programs since October 2016. She was promoted to project coordinator of the CPC in April 2019. Mia thrives on the partnerships that are created through the CPC and enjoys forming lasting relationships and collaborations with partners, faculty, and RWU students.
